Trick or Treat

Saturday, October 30, 2010

We did our Rice Lake trick or treating a bit early since we are heading to NR on Halloween. Only 4 stops and it took 4 hours! Yikes, I hope we are a bit more timely on Sunday! Lauren got a little crazy, which was nice for the great-grandma's to see her that way, she is normally so shy when we go to their houses. And Ella did not fight the costume at all, so overall, a successful (but draining) day!

Lauren's costume didn't get in the way of her gymnastics...

Cutest giraffe I've seen!

And with great-grandma Beatrice

I didn't get a great shot of Lauren in her costume, so if you can't tell what she is from these pictures I promise a better one after Sunday:)

Pumpkin Patch Fun

Tuesday, October 26, 2010

Last week we went to the local pumpkin farm. We went on Thursday so it wasn't very busy, and the girls had a good time. We already have our pumpkins from Uncle Greg and Aunt Diane, so we spent most of our time in the petting zoo.

Ella really liked the bumpy pumpkin!
Ella inside the big playhouse pumpkin.
Lauren had the tractor bounce house to herself.

Ella made friends with this goat.

Okay, it helps that she was feeding them corn!

Look who's walking

Monday, October 18, 2010

I have been trying to get some good video of Ella walking, but she always gets mad when the camera comes out! And then I finally captured some great footage, but I was holding the camera vertically, and apparently you can't just rotate a video like you can a picture... and Ella walking sideways just wasn't how I wanted you to see her first steps! She has actually been taking steps since Sept. 30th, and she definitely does her best walking at night while holding something in both hands.

Four- Wheeling with Daddy

Dan and his friend Gary took their girls four-wheeling this weekend. Lauren loves Leah, and they had a really good time. I worried the whole time they were gone, but she came home without a scratch... what am I going to do when she is old enough to drive herself?

Fun with Maggie

Thursday, October 14, 2010

Last weekend we headed to grandma and grandpa's and the cousins were all able to soak in one of the last warm days of fall. Maggie and Ella tried out a couple of grandma's toys for the first time. First they tried the little slide, and then Aunt Tina helped them on the roller coaster!

Fall Leaves

Thursday, October 7, 2010

Could the weather be any more perfect? The beauty of fall with 70 degree temperatures? I love it! The kids had to take advantage of the leaf piles before Dan bagged them today and they sure had fun.
