BEACH BABE

Sunday, July 27, 2008

Just got home from Grandma and Grandpa Weimert's cabin on Lake Superior... boy did I have fun! Grandma Pam and Aunt Kelly and Grace and Lucy came up to visit. We played on the beach all day (well, THEY played in the sun while I napped inside) and then went shopping in Bayfield. I scored some fun toys and grandma got me a couple of neat books. Mom couldn't resist these swimsuit shots even though the water was way too cold to swim in. I did stick my toes in the sand, but that was the extent of my first weekend at the beach.

Daddy Looks Good!

We went to Mike and Petra's wedding July 19th, and dad got all dressed up for the occasion! He was the best man, so we stayed late and had a good time. He even took me onto the dance floor for the bouquet toss, I didn't catch it though, I think he was relieved. I got pretty tired towards the end of the dance, here are some pics. Doesn't daddy look good??

4-Month Check-up

Mom and dad took me to the doctor on Thursday, and I thought I would post my new stats. I am now 14 pounds 7 ounces and 26 inches long! My doc said that I am very long for my age- that is 95th percentile, and a bit under 50th percentile for weight and head circumference. Grandpa and Aunt Tina are having a hard time believing that I am only 14 pounds, but I think it is a little too early to start lying about my weight:) I also got poked a couple of times, boy did that hurt. I did the super sad cry where I don't breathe for like a minute in between sobs. Then mom had the nerve to make me tell the nurse thank-you. She didn't see me roll my eyes, but I did give the nurse a smile just to make mom happy. Oh, the doc also said I was a bit ahead as far as gross motor development, but mom said she probably tells everyone that- Thanks mom, way to root for me!

I DID IT!

Encore!

Yep, it is true and mom has the proof. I started rolling over on Monday and mom finally caught it on video. I have been rolling from my tummy to my back for over a month now, but it sure was tricky to get from my back to my tummy... I guess it is called momentum and I figured it out. Next up- scooting (you know, the pre-crawl).
