First Steps

I took my first steps last night! I walked five steps to my mom's waiting arms... boy was she excited! Then I took four more steps later on. Daddy tried to get it on video, but it was pretty late and I was getting a bit frustrated. Hopefully they can catch me sometime this weekend- I'll be a pro by then.

Book Babies

Every Wednesday morning, mommy and I go to the library for story time. I sit on the rug like a big girl and listen to stories, and then we get to sing songs and play. There are usually 3-5 other babies for me to play with, and we are all under 2. The librarian gave mom some pictures that she used for the library's newsletter- see how much fun we have? I especially like to crawl through the tunnel and the older kids play peek-a-boo with me. I even won a new board book today!

Giving Kisses

I love to give kisses to unsuspecting victims. A lot of times when I am playing with mom, I just dive in for a good kiss. Of course I am usually drooly and wet, but she still thanks me for them. As you can see in the pictures, I got Mischa today! Normally she is the one "kissing" me, but not this time.

I have been playing in my bedroom a lot more lately, especially while mom is folding and hanging clothes. I think it is really funny to empty off my bookshelf and climb on my chair. Of course this probably wouldn't warrant a blog post if I wasn't wearing this cute outfit:) I thought it was pretty fun to wear a hat inside, although it wasn't long before I figured out how to take it off.

Family Time

I apologize for not posting in quite some time, but we have been busy saying good-bye. My Great-Grandpa Krumm passed away so we were in New Richmond for a week spending time with family. It was sure nice to see everyone, and the extra love and attention that we all felt at this time was especially needed. I want grandpa to know how much he will be missed and what a special part he played in our lives. And grandma, we will be over to keep you company:)

Waiting for Daddy... or Mischa... or the UPS Man!

I have found a new fun place to hang out- right next to the front door! There is this great window there so I can see who is coming to the door. When mom lets Mischa out, I stand there and wait for her to come back (luckily, it doesn't take too long since Mischa isn't a fan of the cold weather). Mom knows when Mischa is back and needs to be let in when she hears me laughing! And at night when mom hears daddy's truck, she says "Daddy's home" and I crawl right to the door and wait. The other day I was really surprised when the UPS man came to the door... I think he was equally surprised to see me waiting for him! What he didn't know is that Mischa was outside and I was actually waiting for her. Of course it was a Baby Gap delivery, so mom likes to think I somehow knew it was for me:)
